 Forklift Masts Corpus Christi - Corpus Christi is a coastal city which acts as the county seat of Nueces County in southern Texas. The city limits stretch into the counties of Aransas, Kleberg, and San Patricio. It is also the principle city of three county MSA whose population, during 2008, was estimated to be 416,000, with about 305,000 being from Corpus Christi. This makes it the 8th largest city in the state of Texas.
The literal translation in Spanish of the name "Corpus Christi" which means "Body of Christ." In honor of the Blessed Sacrament, Corpus Christi City was first granted by the Spanish. In most literature which promotes tourism for the city, it is referred to as The Sparkling City by the bay.
The Port of Corpus Christi is the sixth largest port in the country. The Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and Corpus Christi International Airport are likewise situated within Corpus Christi City.
The Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau is responsible for the organization of tourism information and visitors that supports the cities top attractions, comprising the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington floating museum.
Located in the cities museum district, there are some theaters and museums, comprising the Museum of Asian Cultures, the Museum of Science and History, the Texas Surf Museum, the South Texas Institute for the Arts, and the Harbor Playhouse Theater. Many of the renovated older houses in the city are likewise situated in this district.

Each and every year Corpus Christi celebrates the Buccaneer Days Carnival.
There are some attractions which tempt visitors to come to the city of Corpus Christi. There are miles of wonderful beaches with refreshing sea breezes, waterfront restaurants, culturally diverse arts and museum district, as well as some shopping centers.
Corpus Christi City hosts military bases, a major seaport, refineries, chemical plants, in addition to a large heath care system.
