 Forklift Masts Raleigh - The North Carolina city of Raleigh is the capital of the state, and is called by the moniker of the "City of Oaks" as the city is surrounded by oak trees. Raleigh is the seat of Wake County, and with a population just over 400,000, it is the 2nd largest city within the state of North Carolina. It is likewise one of the fastest growing cities within the US. The city of Raleigh is part of The Triangle, the well-known name for Research Triangle Park. The two other cities forming the triangle are Chapel Hill City and Durham City. The Triangle is located between the city of Durham and the city of Raleigh.

The city has various free attractions for their patrons and visitors to get pleasure from. Raleigh City has been called the Smithsonian of the South because there are numerous high caliber museums within the area. The city is home to the interactive world museum and the world's biggest natural history museum. It also has the largest European art collection in the Southern States. The city of Raleigh and The Triangle are the locus of a wide range of cultural activities, such as the North Carolina Symphony, BTI Center for the Performing Arts, Broadway Series South, Carolina Ballet and North Carolina Theater.
The Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Coast are both located rather close to the city of Raleigh, giving the area many outdoor activities to enjoy. The local ski resorts provide skiing and snowboarding opportunities for tourists. Hikers could traverse towering peaks, whilst camping near pristine lakes and streams where trout fishing is popular. Sunny, warm beaches provide boating and swimming opportunities along the coast. The city itself boasts extensive parks and greenway systems.
The largest business within Raleigh is the government of the state. Also, the Research Triangle Park, that is amongst the leading centers for high-technology research and development, is a key employer driving the city's economy. The park comprises research universities which employ many thousands of people. The Durham-Raleigh region is home to lots of high-technology and medical businesses in sectors such as electrical, electronic, medical and telecommunications. Other sectors consist of clothing, pharmaceuticals and paper products. Highly specialized businesses produce complicated machines and electronic parts within Raleigh's manufacturing sector.
