Forklift Masts Palmdale - The city of Palmdale is located in the north-central part of Los Angeles County. The city was founded in 1962 and since then now hosts a population of 152,622. Voters decided to make the city into a Charter City in November of the year 2009. The Gabriel Mountain Range divides Los Angeles from Palmdale.

Palmdale is currently the sixth largest city within the Los Angeles County and has been ranked as one of the top 25 fastest growing cities in the state of California. The city limits stretch practically 104.57 square miles, making it one of the largest cities within the United States or the biggest "Desert City." The major operations of Northrop Grumman, Boeing and Lockheed martin (Skunk Works) are situated here within the city. The former Boeing hanger at USAF Plant 42, among the largest buildings in the world, is owned by the Los Angeles World Airport.
