 Forklift Masts Springfield - Springfield is the third biggest city in the state of Missouri in the United States. It is the county seat of Greene County and had a population of 159,498 during 2010 based on the census. This figure showed an increase of 5.2% ever since the 2000 census. The region was named for General Nathanael Greene, a famous figure within the American Revolutionary War. The name was selected mostly due to a campaign by Springfield's founder, John Polk Campbell, to be able to honor a man he truly admired.

Springfield boasts about 92 city parks, that include the Botanical Center at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 3 golf courses, a zoo, and other parks, that are owned or managed by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. There are actually numerous programs offered by the center such as Hearts n' Parks, encouraging people to participate in and enjoy outdoor recreation. The department utilizes a network of trails and linear parks which run close by to unique parts of the Ozarks such as springs and creek beds.
