 Forklift Masts Concord - Concord is situated 29 miles east of San Francisco, California in Contra Costa County. The city itself covers 31.13 square miles and in 2000 had a population of 121,780, making it the largest city in the County. The city rests adjacent to Mt. Diablo.
About 13 percent of the population in Contra Costa Country is represented by the population within Concord and that would continue to grow as Concord is one of the fastest growing countries within the San Francisco Bay Area. The central location to surrounding communities and its copious population makes Concord a great place for companies to locate. It offers a huge customer base and an educated workforce.
Concord is very well located and offers residents with easy access to Napa Valley, San Fransisco, Silicon Valley and Sacramento. The Immediate Bay Area offers different scenic routes and activities and the warm climate encourages residents to enjoy the scenic attractions all over Northern California.
The main attraction in downtown Concord is Todos Santos Plaza. This area is well-known for its farmers market, various restaurants, and free summer concerts. To be able to take advantage of the public transportation as well as the beautiful area round the park, the city has recently redeveloped the downtown area, adding new apartment and condominium projects. Sadly, this has not completely solved the crime and homelessness issues in the downtown area.
Concord served as a bedroom community for the larger cities of San Francisco and Oakland in the past. However, within the previous few decades, there has been an increase in the job market. Back-office operation like those from Chevron and Bank of America, have been established here. These have helped to bring a wider variety in the local economy. Amongst the largest shopping centers within the United States, Sunvalley Mall, is located here, as well as several auto dealerships, Cosco, and Fry's Electronics. Before being shut down in the year 2008, the website hosting provider Atrivo likewise headquartered here.
